(RBS), developer and distributor of RBackup online backup software on the web at http://remote-backup.com, today announced the Beta release of RBackup 2006, the newest version of its industry-leading online computer data backup software. Using the company's revolutionary new BitBackupTM data transfer engine, RBackup 2006 is available for testing and evaluation via download from the company's website.

Improving upon the company's globally acclaimed RBackup Remote Backup product, the new release includes many new enhancements and features. BitBackupTM technology optionally backs up granular changes within client data instead of an entire new version of the files during each backup session. The technology is seamlessly integrated into the core RBackup 2006 client software, and allows remote backup service providers to choose bit-level backups on both a per-client and per-backup-set basis.

BitBackupTM substantially reduces the amount of bandwidth and time needed to incrementally back up files, and also makes more efficient use of disk space on the RBS Sever.
